Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a great way to get help.

The hypnotherapist guides you through an initial interview and through the change. If you want to try this out, I recommend doing a proper background check and ask them some questions to make sure that how they work is something that you feel at ease with.

You might also use different hypnotherapist, just to get a different perspective. Your needs might also change and that might require another hypnotherapist with different skills, so I recommend shopping around when you feel like it.

My usage

I have been using hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis on a regular basis since 2012 and I am educated Neuro Hypnotherapist, so I can safely say that this is a very efficient tool for person growth and self-healing.

I am using the word self-healing and not healing, because in the hypnotherapy that I know the therapist guides you through a process that uses the resources you already have within and therefore any change that happens within you is based on your own abilities to change and heal.

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis as part of the implementation of the guided change. Therapy where hypnosis is used without a thorough interview will be less personalized and it might not take all aspects of your situation into consideration. So, hypnosis alone will often be less efficient, and you might not get much out of it.

Hypnotherapy focuses on you, your wants and needs, and the interview ensures that the change that is implemented, is the change you want.

I go deeper into this in some of my other articles with many examples of how it has helped me with varies of symptoms and unwanted mental states.

Self-hypnosis

In self-hypnosis you can use some of the same tools that are used with hypnotherapy and some hypnotherapists teach it as well.

What you will miss out on is the guided experience and the sparring.

I am very fond of self-hypnosis, and I use it a lot.

Many of the methods that I trained with my study mates during my education, to become a hypnotherapist, I have experimented with as self-hypnosis and many of them are quite useful even without sparring and sometimes I have the mental surplus to guide myself.

Also, some are very efficient even though they are very simple and easy to learn.

I recommend starting out with hypnotherapy just to get a feel of it before you dive into it yourself.
